Important Four Games Ahead

SAINTS face an important four weeks as they aim to not only keep in touch with the top four but build momentum into the Super 8s competition.

They travel to Wakefield this Sunday (July 3, 3pm) and host Widnes the following Friday (July 8, 8pm).

Keiron Cunningham’s men then go on the road for the final two games of the regular season – visiting Huddersfield on Sunday July 17 (3pm) and before making the short trip to the DW Stadium for the mouth-watering derby clash with Wigan on Friday July 22 (8pm).

“We’ve faced some tough opposition in the last few weeks but there has been a lot of belief in the camp despite results,” prop Alex Walmsley said. “We put in a good performance against Hull KR but there is a lot to do.

“We have four more games before the Super 8s and we need to build and gain a head of steam. We’re in a dogfight so we will have to keep on scraping for our mates and scrap for the rest of the season.

“We can take confidence from the result against Hull KR but we can’t get carried away. We believe we have a role to play in this season and going into the Super 8s we have as good a chance as any.”
