Challenge Cup Semi Final Preview

Saints face Halifax in the Coral Challenge Cup Semi Final with the game kicking off at 4:30pm as part of a triple header of action at the University of Bolton Stadium.

Triple Header fixtures:

11:15: Women’s Challenge Cup Final

14:00: Warrington Wolves vs Hull

16:30: St.Helens vs Halifax.

Team News and Match Preview:

Both sides have named their 19-man squad for the match and Saints’ captain James Roby returns.

Head Coach Justin Holbrook believes everything is at stake with a spot at Wembley is up for grabs.

Tommy Makinson insists Saints will show Halifax respect in Saturday’s Semi Final.


St Helens have won our last fourteen meetings with Halifax. Halifax’s last victory against the Saints was a 16-10 Super League home win on 24 May, 1998.
