Saints Community Development Foundation (SCDF) has announced the dissolution of the partnership with Mersey Storm Wheelchair Rugby Team.
SCDF and Mersey Storm and have today sadly announced the end of a partnership which has been in place for the past three seasons. The decision has been made on the back of an extensive review of the current season, review of the current agreement and the future direction of both organisations.
Foundation Director Steve Leonard said: “Through an extensive review of the partnership, it became evident that both organisations were looking to go in a new direction. Both organisations have agreed to end the current partnership at the end of this current season. We would like to thank Mersey Storm for their work over the past few seasons as part of this partnership and wish them all the best for the future.
“Saints Community Development Foundation are committed to the development of Wheelchair Rugby League. There has never been a better opportunity to grow the sport of Wheelchair Rugby League across Merseyside region with the announcement of the Wheelchair Rugby League World Cup taking place in 2021 with fixtures being played at the M&S Arena in Liverpool.”
