Woolf and Lomax Visit Local Veterans

This week, Kristian Woolf and Jonny Lomax were joined by volunteers of the Veterans of The Foundation as well as Saints Community Development Foundation’s Director Steve Leonard to distribute union jack flags and essentials to local veterans to thank them for their service.

Ahead of VE Day and to pay their respects the Saints Head Coach joined Lomax in the visits in and around St Helens.

Director of the Foundation Steve Leonard said:

“It was a great gesture from both Kristian and Jonny to volunteer to come along and meet some of our veterans of the Foundation. The veterans we visited were delighted to meet them and have a quick chat, albeit from a distance!”

“Our Veterans form an integral part of our team and a group that we are so very proud to have with us. On such an occasion as VE Day it is only fit and proper that we respect the sacrifices made, and the victorious outcome so hard fought to achieve. Our armed forces continue to protect us so that the way of life, that we all take for granted, can be upheld.”

“We would like to say a big thank you to all our armed forces veterans for keeping us free and safe and for their services to our Queen, our Country and to us as individuals. We would also like to thank  those currently serving Queen and country for their outstanding dedication and hard work, once again upholding our countries freedom and keeping our boarders safe.”
