Match Preview: Saints vs Castleford

Saints host the Castleford Tigers at our Totally Wicked Stadium home on Sunday with kick off at 4:15pm and we have all the information you need right here in our match preview!

This weekend’s Betfred Super League programme has been rearranged, in response to the postponement of two scheduled fixtures following the positive Covid-19 tests at Hull FC meaning St.Helens will now play Castleford Tigers on Sunday (16.15).

The Tigers arrive into this game against the Saints on the back of a restart defeat against the Catalans Dragons. The Tigers led early through Michael Shenton’s double, but the Dragons then blitzed the Tigers after tries from Tom Davies (2), Alrix Da Costa, Israel Folau, Ben Garcia, Joel Tomkins Jason Baitieri.

Castleford sit in sixth with four wins from seven games, with Saints ahead of them only on points difference as we lie in second place after two impressive wins from two since the restart.

Having said that, Cas were the last side to beat the Saints pre-Lockdown so Kristian Woolf’s men will be looking for revenge on Sunday!
