With one month to go until the start of the 2021 Betfred Super League season, Saints 2021 fixture schedule has now been confirmed as the Champions look to go for three Grand Final rings on the bounce!
It was revealed last week that we will kick off the 2021 Betfred Super League campaign against Salford Red Devils at Leeds’ Emerald Headingley Stadium on Friday 26 March with kick off at 6pm.
Betfred Super League will then unite one week later to show its support for Mose Masoe across the Easter Weekend’s Round 2 fixtures at our very own Totally Wicked Stadium as Saints will face Hull KR (away).
Sky Sports will broadcast all twelve games from the first two rounds which will also be available for season ticket holders via the Our League platform, in a continuation of the service offered last season.
The Betfred Super League Rivals Round (Round 20) was also confirmed this week as we will face Wigan at the DW Stadium between 19 and 22 August before the traditional Dacia Magic Weekend will take place – a little later than scheduled – at Newcastle’s St James’ Park where Saints will face Catalans on Saturday 4 September.
And now our opponents for the rest of the 2021 campaign has been revealed with specific kick off times to be confirmed at a later date by Sky Sports and Super League. Please note that fixtures are subject to change and Sky have not yet made their TV selections for the whole season, but the Club’s preference for home games will be Friday at 7:45pm – subject to Sky.
Saints are back at our Totally Wicked Stadium in Round 3 as we host Wakefield. A repeat of Tommy Makinson’s Testimonial match will take place in Round 5 as we will travel to the Leigh Sports Village to face the Centurions.
Following the most recent update from the government on the roadmap out of Covid-19 restrictions, clubs are planning for the return of fans to stadiums, for the first time since March 2020, in time for Round 7 fixtures (20-23 May).
So Round 8 against Hull FC could see Saints fans back in our stadium for the first time since early last year. We are then set to travel to Perpignan to face Catalans Dragons towards the end of May before a tough trip to Leeds at Emerald Headingley in Round 9.
The Champions back that up with a home clash with Warrington before a tough run of fixtures including a trip to the Jungle to face Castleford before the derby as Wigan come to town on either 4th or 5th July.
Kristian Woolf’s men have a tough run-in with the return trip to Wigan in Rivals Round before facing Warrington and Leeds again. Our regular season will conclude with a trip to Salford.
The culmination of every season is the Betfred Super League Grand Final and in 2021 this showpiece event will be returning to its spiritual home, Old Trafford, on Saturday 9 October.
All fixtures taking place Behind Closed Doors will again be available on the RFL’s Our League App for 2021 Members.
