Morgan Knowles and Joel Thompson both return to Saints 21 man squad ahead of Friday's Betfred Challenge Cup Quarter Final against Huddersfield Giants at Emerald Headingley Stadium (8.15pm).
Knowles hasn’t featured all season after after under-going surgery on his thumb. He returned to training at the end of April and is included in the squad for the first time this campaign. He comes in for Jake Wingfield who picked up a shoulder injury in the win over Leigh and drops out.
Thompson has been managing an on-going foot injury, but returns to the squad after sitting out last week. He comes in for James Bentley who is out for the foreseeable future after breaking his leg, as confirmed by Kristian Woolf yesterday.
Tommy Makinson is included again, as he was prior to last week’s game against Leigh. He did not feature on Friday, but is expected to play this week with the boss all but confirming that in his weekly interview.
Matty Lees is the other long term absentee after he recently underwent surgery on an ankle injury picked up against Leeds Rhinos in the last Betfred Challenge Cup round.
Friday’s game against Huddersfield is live on Sky Sports with kick off at 8:15pm.
