Jonny Lomax. Must we say more?
Jonny is so often at the highest level of the game that his brilliance can often go unnoticed over the course of a season. Always reliable in the Red Vee, our stand-off came through the 2021 season with an impressive 20 try involvements in 23 appearances in all competitions.
Partnered with Theo Fages, Lomax racked up at least one try involvement in each of his first seven games. He then followed up in round 8 with a hat trick of assists against Hull FC.
Following the injury to Theo in our Challenge Cup final success, Jonny’s role was adjusted slightly to allow young Lewis Dodd an easier transition into the first team. Jonny didn’t miss a beat, going on to pick up another three assists in the two games that followed and finished the season on 18 try assists and a total of 20 try involvements in 23 appearances.
