December 1st is World AIDS Day and in support of the day of awareness with St Helens Sexual Health Clinic, the Club and Saints Community Development Foundation encourage supporters to get tested and help end the stigma around HIV.
In the UK more than 105,000 people are living with HIV. Medical advancements in the UK mean that people living with the virus can expect long and healthy lives. However, HIV is still highly stigmatised and misunderstood, with people experiencing discrimination because of HIV.
Testing for HIV should be part of your regular health check-ups as it is quick, easy and confidential.
