Saints Community Development Foundation is deeply saddened to learn about the passing of our LDRL Player Tom Blanthorne.
Tom was a much-loved figure of our Learning Disability Rugby League team, being a part of the original twelves players who joined the team when it was first formed back in 2018.
A player in our first-ever LDRL game against Warrington in 2018, Tom was an ever-present member of the side, taking part in the Foundation’s first-ever home-hosted festival last year.
Beloved by all those who knew him, Tom never failed to put a smile on his teammates and coaches’ faces. He loved putting on the ‘Red V’ and playing for the Saints on every occasion that he could, always with a smile on his face.
Tom’s contribution to the team, his fellow players, staff, and coaches, along with our community will forever be remembered.
Saints Community Development Foundation would like to pass on the condolences of the entire Foundation and Club to Tom’s family and friends at this very sad time.
