Saints Women announce Talent Pathway signings

St. Helens Women have announced their newest signings for their upcoming Talent Pathways Programme!

Pathway to Performance is a programme run by Betfred Women’s Super League Clubs. The pathway is designed for female players in their final two academic school years (Year 10/11) with Clubs allowed up to 12 players per age group.

Saints have sixteen players to our Talent Pathway Programme ahead of the 2025 season. The girls will join the club on Wednesday the 18th of September, for their first training session in the Red V.

The Saints Community Development Foundation held Girls Development Camps across the Summer for the girls to attend and get involved with. The likes of Jodie Cunningham and Matty Smith got to cast their eyes over some potential Saints stars of the future at Cowley.

Head of Women’s Pathways & Performance, Jodie Cunningham has spent the last few months talking to girls across the region, offering some the opportunity to come to the Saints for the foreseeable future.

The girls got to take to the pitch at the Totally Wicked Stadium, as they were officially announced during half-time of the men’s game against Castleford Tigers!

Saints’ Naomi Williams, Pip Birchall and Zoe Harris will be a part of the coaching staff for the PTP. Lydia Binstead, a community coach at local club Pilkington Recs, will also join the coaching staff.
