The time has come to confirm which numbers the St.Helens First Team will have on their shirts for the 2025 rugby league season!
For the first time in a decade, the Saints have a different man wearing the number #2. New signing Kyle Feldt is set to wear the shirt for the year ahead following in the footsteps of the now-departed Tommy Makinson.
As was previously confirmed, new Saint Tristan Sailor has been assigned the number #6, with Club Captain Jonny Lomax now wearing the iconic #7 Saints shirt.
Our third 2025 recruit, Lewis Murphy, has returned to the UK and will wear #20 in his debut St.Helens campaign.
Fresh off the news that he has put pen to paper to remain with the Club in 2025, Konrad Hurrell takes the number #3 for his fourth Saints season.
More of our First Team players also have new number assignments for the new year, Curtis Sironen in his previous three years wore #16 but will now have #11 as his number, with Matt Whitley following his first season at the Saints taking #16.
St.Helens’ back-to-back Young Player of the Year and nominee for Super League’s Young Player of the Year, George Delaney moves up to #19.
A reward after impressing in 2024, Noah Stephens has been assigned the number #21, whilst fellow young Saints Jake Burns (#23), Jonny Vaughan (#24), and Leon Cowen (#31) all move up in number too.
Four of our Academy Class of 2024 are part of St.Helens’ 2025 First Team. Harry Robertson had a breakthrough season after making his Super League debut in July and was originally given the #33 shirt but heading into his first official full-time pre-season he will wear #26.
The Saints Academy Captain in 2024, and a try-scorer on his Saints senior debut, George Whitby has been issued the #27 shirt. Owen Dagnall was called into the First Team during the summer but did not make his maiden appearance, should he do so in 2025 he would have #30 on his back.
Two of our 2024 Academy Grand Finalists have received their first official St.Helens squad numbers. Jake Davies (#34) shined in our Under 18s and was part of the England Academy team that faced France, and Cole Marsh (#35) scored in the Saints’ Reserves Grand Final victory during September.
There are also two more young Saints from our Reserves Champions stepping up into the First Team ranks, they are; Ciaran Nolan (#32) and the Saints’ Reserves Player of the Year in 2024, Alfie Sinclair (#33).
