Come and see our developing talents in the Under 18s team, as they take on the Black & Whites in the fifth round of the Academy season. Our young Saints won their last match against Castleford Tigers, 34-0, putting on a remarkable defensive performance, and are looking to make it three wins in a row following victories over Wigan away and Castleford at home.
Then it is a big Betfred Super League clash as the heated rivalry between the Red V and the Dragons is re-ignited on Thursday night. Undoubtedly, it has been a tough run of results for the Saints in recent weeks, after a week off due to the Challenge Cup, Wellens’ squad will be highly motivated to get back to winning ways.
There has already been a fixture between St.Helens and Catalans this season, back at the end of March. Club Captain Jonny Lomax was the match winner on the night, slotting over two late drop goals to win a thriller – 13-14 – and earn the Saints their first league away win over Catalans since 2018.
Catalans after losing out to Hull KR in the Cup Semi Finals on Saturday, and with that one-point loss still fresh in the minds, will be out for revenge come Thursday evening.
