A stacked week ahead for St.Helens, with four matches to be played across two double headers at the Totally Wicked Stadium! This week you will be able to see our Academy, First Team, Women's Academy and Women's team take to the field at the Home of the Saints!

St.Helens’ weekly fixture preview – This week for the Saints – is sponsored Joseph James Furniture Outlet.

Thursday night’s double dose of rugby league will see our Academy taking on Hull FC, followed by the return of the First Team back home for their first home fixture since early April.

On Saturday we have two matches, both against Leeds Rhinos, firstly with our Women’s Academy kicking off their 2025 season, and then the Saints Women’s begin the 2025 Betfred Women’s Super League campaign!

See the important details for all four matches below.

Academy vs Hull FC (H)

First up at the Totally Wicked Stadium on Thursday night, our Under 18s side are taking on the Black & Whites in Round 5 of the Academy 2025 season!

Come and see our developing talents, cheer them on and see some potential future First Team Saints!

Our youngsters won their last match against Castleford, 34-0, putting on a remarkable defensive performance, and are looking to make it three wins in a row following victories over Wigan away and the Tigers at home.

  • Thursday, 15th May 2025
  • Kick-off at 5:15pm
  • Totally Wicked Stadium, WA9 3AL

First Team vs Catalans Dragons (H)

Undoubtedly, it has been a tough run of results for the Saints in recent weeks and so after a week off due to the Challenge Cup, Paul Wellens’ men will be fired up to respond in a big way and get back to positive form.

The Saints and the Dragons have already met in the 2025 season, back at the end of March in what was one of the most engrossing matches of the year so far. Club Captain Jonny Lomax was the difference, slotting over two late drop goals to win a thriller – 13-14 and earn our first league away win over Catalans since 2018.

Catalans after losing out to Hull KR in the Cup Semi Finals on Saturday, and with that one-point loss still fresh in the minds, will be out for revenge come Thursday evening.

  • Thursday, 15th May 2025
  • Kick-off at 8pm
  • Totally Wicked Stadium, WA9 3AL
  • Match tickets are available online at eticketing.co.uk/saintsrlfc
    • Tickets will grant entry to watch Saints Academy vs Hull FC Academy, also played on Thursday evening at 5:15pm

Women’s Academy vs Leeds Rhinos (H)

It is the start of the first competitive season for our Women’s Academy team!

Previously, our Under 19s Women side were playing friendly fixtures, however for the first time in 2025 there will be a competitive campaign, further enhancing the growth and development of young women’s rugby league players.

Women’s Academy Head Coach Graham Cranny, Assistant Coach of the Women’s First Team, has alongside fellow members of our Women’s youth coaching staff prepped our Under 19 Women’s Saints for a twelve-round season.

It’s an exciting occasion as many of these girls will get to run out on the Totally Wicked Stadium field for the first time and follow in the footsteps of the likes of Women’s First Teamers; Katie Mottershead, Caitlin Maylor, Erin McDonald, Amy Taylor, Alyx Bridge and Luci McColm.

This Academy match against Leeds Rhinos serves as the opening match of a brilliant Women’s Rugby League double header at the Totally Wicked Stadium, with match tickets and 2025 Memberships granting entry to both fixtures!

  • Saturday, 17th May 2025
  • Kick-off at 11:45am
  • Totally Wicked Stadium, WA9 3AL

Women vs Leeds Rhinos (H)

Fresh off booking their return to Wembley Stadium for a third successive year, and a fifth straight Women’s Challenge Cup Final appearance, our Red V Women will face a familiar foe with Leeds Rhinos coming to town.

The Saints finished the regular season in 2024 at the top of the table, earning the League Leaders’ Shield before falling just short at the Grand Final to York. Under Head Coaches Derek Hardman & Craig Richards, we will aim to get this league campaign off with a win against a Leeds side that are stinging from their Cup exit this past weekend.

  • Saturday, 17th May 2025
  • Kick-off at 2pm
  • Totally Wicked Stadium, WA9 3AL
  • Our Women’s double header match tickets are available online at eticketing.co.uk/saintsrlfc
