21-man Saints squad to face Hull KR away

St.Helens Head Coach Paul Wellens has confirmed his 21-man squad for this Friday night's Betfred Super League match against Hull KR, which takes place at the Sewell Group Craven Park and kicks off at 8pm.

St.Helens First Team 21-man squad announcement is sponsored by St Helens Flooring.

An exciting fixture that awaits on Friday as our Saints go to the home of the Robins. Back in March, Hull KR came to the Totally Wicked Stadium in a what was a big collision battle and took home the win 10-20. Willie Peters’ men have only lost once so far in the 2025 season, and they have made their ground a tough place to visit.

The Saints are looking to make it three wins in a row after back-to-back strong victories in the last two weeks. Firstly at home against Catalans Dragons winning 40-0, and then last Friday it was a dominant away victory by 4-46.

The Red V are now looking to build a consistent run of results and performances, in a bid to progress higher in the league table.

Our Saints will be well and truly fired up for this one, in front of what is bound to be a hostile crowd, and Hull KR will also be looking to keep their run of wins rolling just one week out from Wembley and the 2025 Betfred Challenge Cup Final.

Paul Wellens will provide the latest news regarding his squad following last Friday’s match and preview the clash with Hull KR on his weekly press conference which is scheduled for this afternoon. Saints TV subscribers will be able to watch in full later on today.

St.Helens Head Coach Paul Wellens makes two changes to the squad that performed so strongly at the John Smith’s Stadium last time out.

Matt Whitley is back available for selection after following Head Injury Assessment protocols from the match against Catalans Dragons a fortnight ago. Harry Robertson also returns to the 21-man squad for the first time since our home win over Wakefield back in early April, when a quad injury halted what had been a sensational start to the 2025 season for the outside back.

Jon Bennison and Jake Davies are the Saints who step out of the squad selection this time.
