Head Coach Paul Wellens has announced his 21-man St.Helens squad for this Sunday's Betfred Super League away fixture against Salford Red Devils.
St.Helens First Team 21-man squad announcement is sponsored by St Helens Flooring.
The Saints head over to the Salford Community Stadium for a Sunday afternoon kick-off, scheduled for 3pm.
After a week with no action due to the Challenge Cup Final, the Red V are itching to get back on the field and kick on with the second half of the season. The aim is to move ourselves further up the table and build more consistent performances and positive results.
The Saints and Salford have already met this season, with the Red V recording an 82-0 victory back in Round 1 in February, albeit against a largely altered side. This was due to sustainability cap restrictions, and meant that seven of the Red Devils Reserves made their senior debuts. The young men put up valiant efforts in tough circumstances, and were applauded by all on the night.
Salford’s difficult season has seen them only secure one victory in the league so far, but at home and against St.Helens they will be out to make a point, and get that second win of the year.

SQUAD NEWS
Coach Wellens makes three changes to the squad he last declared, with three of our men sadly injured following the match against Hull KR.
Jack Welsby is expected to be out for around 16 weeks after having surgery on his knee, Lewis Murphy in the act of trying to score a try suffered a quad injury ruling him out for around 8 weeks, and Mark Percival has had a procedure for a bone spur injury on his ankle and he is set to be out for around 5 to 6 weeks.
There is positive news for the Red V though, star winger Kyle Feldt is back in the 21-man squad for the first time since March after a hand injury saw him need to have surgery, so it is a welcome sight to see the prolific finisher nearing his return.
Joe Batchelor is also in contention to play on Sunday, in what would be his first match since Good Friday (mid-April) when he suffered a hamstring issue in the match against Wigan. Jon Bennison is the third Saint to step into the squad.
