Saints Coaches pedal for Willowbrook Hospice

Paul Wellens, Eamon O'Carroll, Lee Briers & James Roby joined Willowbrook Hospice's 'Pedalling For Willowbrook' fundraising challenge!

Members of staff from Willowbrook Hospice have taken on the challenge of cycling 43 miles in just six hours – one mile for every £100,000 it takes to keep the local hospice open each year (£4.3 million) in the Tesco Extra in St Helens.

Our Coaches joined in to help the challenge, with Head Coach Wellens pedalling for the Saints’ entire stint on the bike, as a personal challenge for himself too!

Every penny to Willowbrook Hospice makes a difference. As an independent charity, Willbrook provides our local community, specialist palliative care for patients with complex needs.

Since opening its doors in 1997, over 10,000 people have been kindly cared for in the best possible way, thanks to the Hospice. Their care is not charged but relies on significant fundraising efforts alongside a modest contribution from the NHS. Donations and their retail business charitable shops are vital to ensuring their outstanding level of care can continue to be provided.

The Saints are proud to continue supporting our local hospice, with the Club; assisting the charity’s call for Men’s clothing donations, featuring Willowbrook’s branding on our First Team kit for the away fixture at Catalans Dragons in the last two seasons, and hosting a takeover fixture last season too.

Visit Willowbrook Hospice’s website to read more about the charity, and if you can, you can also make an online donation too.
