St.Helens young half-back Will Roberts has joined Betfred Championship side Widnes Vikings on an initial two-week loan.
The 20-year-old has featured for the St.Helens Reserves side, as well as dual registration partners Swinton Lions, in the 2025 season, but has yet to feature for the Saints’ First Team and make his official club debut.
In three appearances for the Lions, Will has registered two tries and kicked four goals for the Betfred League One side.
It is a step up in competition for Roberts, who could feature for the Vikings in their next match against the current Championship league leaders, Toulouse Olympique on Saturday evening.
The loan means Will could also get the chance to play alongside his older brother Max Roberts, who plays as a centre for the Vikings.
Widnes are currently ninth in the Betfred Championship table, just three points off the top six play-off places with nine matches to go in the regular season campaign.
