Head Coach Paul Wellens has confirmed his 21-man squad for this Sunday's home fixture against Salford Red Devils, which is the second match of a double header of action at the Totally Wicked Stadium.

For the second time in a fortnight, the Saints are taking on Salford, but this time it is a fixture at the home of the Saints – the Totally Wicked Stadium. The match is also the third meeting of the 2025 season between the Red V and the Red Devils, with St.Helens aiming to make it three wins over the Greater Manchester side.
The Saints recorded an 82-0 victory over Salford back in Round 1 in February, albeit against a largely altered side due to sustainability cap restrictions. Then a fortnight ago in Round 14, Wellens’ men went to the Salford Community Stadium and came away with a 4-46 result.
Following on from last week’s important victory over Leeds Rhinos, 18-4, the Saints are on the hunt for a third successive league win to kick off our second half of the season effort to progress as high as we can in the Super League table.
Paul Wellens is holding his weekly press conference later this afternoon, and will give the latest on his squad. Saints TV subscribers will be able to watch it back in full.
As well as the double header of games, we will also be celebrating Armed Forces Day, with activities going on around the ground will include the likes of:
- Royal Marines are returning to the Totally Wicked Stadium
- Veterans Parade & Guard of Honour – including Veterans of the Foundation
- Representatives of other local armed forces branches
- The British Army obstacle course will also be located opposite the Red V Bar

Coach Wellens makes just one change to the squad that he last declared for the victory over Leeds Rhinos, with Will Roberts going out on loan to Widnes Vikings – read more on that by clicking here.
There is a return to the 21-man squad for young half-back George Whitby, who missed out last week’s match due to a failed Head Injury Assessment during the away fixture against Salford. Having now followed protocols, Whitby is available for selection again.
Young back-rower Jake Davies holds onto his place in the 21-man squad from last week, and if selected against the Red Devils would make his official Club and Super League debut.
