This week for the Saints

St.Helens will host two fixtures at the Totally Wicked Stadium this week, with two more of our teams on Origin duty.

St.Helens’ weekly fixture preview – This week for the Saints – is sponsored Joseph James Furniture Outlet.

Friday night will get our Saints week started with the Betfred Super League split round continuing. St. Helens will face Castleford Tigers; both had a week with no fixtures last week.

Like the First Team, our Reserves will also face Castleford on Saturday afternoon. Also on Saturday over in Hull, we have Saints representation in both the Lancashire and Yorkshire camp for the Academy and Women’s Origin games!

FRIDAY

First Team vs Castleford Tigers (H)

Stung following a home defeat to the in-form Leigh Leopards last time out, which ended a five-match winning run, and after a week with no match, Paul Wellens’ men cannot wait to get back out on the field.

Interim Head Coach of Castleford Chris Chester led the Tigers to arguably their biggest win of the season ahead of this split round, beating Warrington Wolves 20-14.

Back in February, in St.Helens’ first away match of the Super League season, Wellens’ men proved to be too strong at Wheldon Road and won 6-46. Can the Saints make it home and away wins over the Tigers in 2025? We’ll find out on Friday night!

  • Friday, 1st August 2025
  • Kick-off at 8pm
  • Totally Wicked Stadium, WA9 3AL
  • Match tickets are available online at eticketing.co.uk/saintsrlfc

SATURDAY

Reserves vs Castleford Tigers (H)

The Saints and the Tigers meet for a second time this week but on Saturday it is the turn of our Reserves.

It will be the penultimate Red V Reserves match of the 2025 Reserves Championship season, and the final home match of the year for our developmental side. An away match at Bradford awaits in a fortnight to close out the season. So far in 2025 our Reserves have won five and lost five.

In their most recent fixture against Leigh Leopards, Ian Talbot, our Reserves Head Coach, had a blend of youth and experience in his match day seventeen. On the day, Saints ran out comfortable winners at the Totally Wicked Stadium, 50-16.

  • Saturday, 2nd August 2025
  • Kick-off at 1pm
  • Totally Wicked Stadium, WA9 3AL
