Match Preview: Leeds Rhinos (Eliminator Play-Off)

On Saturday evening, St.Helens go to AMT Headingley Stadium to face Leeds Rhinos in a knockout Play-Off fixture, and kick-off is set for 8pm.

Saints’ away match tickets for this fixture came off sale with the Club at 5pm on Friday, 26th September. Any uncollected tickets, now the sales period has stopped, will be transferred to the Rhinos’ Ticket Office for collection on match night.

Saints supporters will be located in both the West Stand (Standing) and North Stand (Reserved Seating) at AMT Headingley Stadium.

📰 SQUAD NEWS

Paul Wellens makes seven changes to the squad he named for last week’s final regular-season fixture against Castleford Tigers.

Mark Percival, Alex Walmsley, Daryl Clark, Matty Lees and Curtis Sironen return to the squad selection, alongside young stars George Delaney and Harry Robertson.

Brad Arthur has made four changes to his Leeds squad that lost to Wigan last Friday night. The West Yorkshire side welcome back fullback Lachie Miller, centre Ash Handley, winger Ryan Hall and scrum-half Jake Connor.

This will be the fifth time that Saints have played Leeds in all competitions this season, and they’ve all had that finals intensity about them. So, Tristan knows we will have to bring our all, but he wants to replicate that intensity of our last trip to Headingley and maybe come away with a few more points.

Jack Smith will be the Referee on Saturday night, and he will be assisted by Warren Turley and Neil Horton as Touch Judges, with Chris Kendall as Video Referee.

💬 COACH PREVIEW

Following the conclusion of the regular season, the Saints are now playing knockout rugby league, with no second chances, and the Head Coach says it feels almost like the start of a new competition.

Saturday’s game against Leeds will be the fifth meeting between the Saints and the Rhinos in 2025, and Wellens knows to expect an intense contest at Headingley.
