Head Coach Paul Rowley spoke to the press following his Saints side's 14-24 win against Hull FC at the MKM Stadium.
The Saints boss was pleased with a hard-earned victory, particularly after his side showed far greater physicality in the second half to overturn a half-time deficit and secure the win.
It had been a frustrating opening period, marked by poor discipline and a high number of errors. However, Rowley felt his team’s effort never wavered, ultimately earning a result in what was an emotionally charged and hostile environment.
He reserved special praise for his forward pack, highlighting the impact of his younger middles. Noah Stephens and George Delaney both stepped up impressively, while the returning Matty Lees underlined his quality with a strong performance.
Rowley was also encouraged by his side’s resilience in the face of adversity, particularly after losing Deon Cross to a failed HIA, with the team continuing to battle and find a way to win.
