Alex Walmsley has been given the ‘all clear’ from specialists following his fractured neck in March.
The prop has been in full training and taking part in the intense pre-season preparations ahead of the new campaign but needed a scan to ensure he could return to play.
That has now been done and the good news is he will be ready to go come the new season.
“I can honestly say this has been the toughest journey I have ever been on,” Alex said. “I’m so grateful to be able to put it to bed and carry on with my career.
“I really appreciate all the support of not only my teammates and everyone at the club but the fans too.
“Bring on 2019 and the new season … I can’t wait!”
