St.Helens Head Coach Paul Wellens has announced his 21-man squad for this Saturday’s fixture against Leeds Rhinos, which will close out day one of MAGIC WKND 2025.
St.Helens First Team 21-man squad announcement is sponsored by St Helens Flooring.
All six matches for Round 10 of the Betfred Super League take place over two days at the same venue, St. James’ Park – the home of Newcastle United, for MAGIC WKND.
For the first time in the event’s history, the Saints will face the Rhinos to close out Saturday’s action, with kick-off scheduled for 7:30pm.

The Red V go into this game looking for a big response following back-to-back away losses to Warrington and Wigan.
Having already played Leeds in the Challenge Cup this season and getting the win, the Saints are aiming to bounce back to winning ways and extend a six-match winning run over the Rhinos that we currently hold.
Last time out, Brad Arthur’s side lost out a thrilling game against Hull KR at home, so they too will come to Newcastle looking to return to positive form.

😎 EX TERRA LUCEM
The Saints will be wearing our 2025 Third Kit for the first time at MAGIC WKND!
The kit is a striking Mint green colour fading downwards through the torso, to a lower third of Glow-lime stripes, with this colour bursting out from under the arms also. There is a small glowing lime vee shape in the centre of the chest, which sits behind a metallic-look black and white tonal crest, which changes base colour in different angles and light.
Catching the eye throughout the torso there is a watermarked logo which is a pattern containing the St Helens Town crest with a ribbon featuring the Town’s motto – Ex Terra Lucem – meaning – ‘From the Ground, Comes Light‘

SQUAD NEWS
There are two changes to Paul Wellens’ match day squad that he last declared for Round 9, with Ben Davies and Jake Burns stepping out.
Jake Wingfield is back in contention for selection, following head injury protocols which made him not available to play since the Challenge Cup Quarter Final against Warrington nearly four weeks ago.

Deon Cross is included for the very first time in St.Helens’ squad selection after joining the Club on a two-and-a-half-year deal that was announced that Friday afternoon. The 28-year-old is therefore in line to make his official Saints debut, which would be a special occasion for the hometown man.
