St.Helens Head Coach Paul Wellens has announced his 21-man squad that will take on Hull KR this Friday, 29th August 2025.

This fixture will be part of Round 24 of the Betfred Super League 2025, and takes place at Sewell Group Craven Park, with kick-off scheduled for 8pm.
There will be an Academy curtain raiser match between the Saints and the Robins, which starts at 5:30pm, and is the final regular-season match of the Academy Championship campaign. Academy Play-Offs are contested with the top four teams following twelve rounds, and the fight for those spots is going right down to the wire. Our Saints sit in third, tied on league points with two other sides, but ahead of them on points difference.
With our First Team, The Final Charge is well and truly on. The Saints have a big month ahead as the Play-Offs edge ever closer and four regular-season rounds remain, with the teams in the top seven all jockeying for position.
Following our victory over Hull FC last Friday, the Red V moved up to second spot, leapfrogging Leeds who beat the current league leaders, Hull KR, 24 hours earlier. However, Wigan’s win over Wakefield on Sunday afternoon moved the Warriors back into second spot for the conclusion of the round.
Friday night’s clash will be the third meeting of the season between St.Helens and Hull KR, and there will be added motivation for the Saints to get the win, having lost twice to the Robins.

Paul Wellens makes two changes to the squad he last declared for our victory over Hull FC last Friday night, with Owen Dagnall and Kyle Feldt stepping out of the squad due to injury.
On Tuesday, the Saints boss revealed that Dagnall has sadly suffered a hamstring issue which will make him unavailable until in or around the Play-Offs at the earliest, but he will not be rushed or have any risks taken.

Young Saints Leon Cowen and Jake Davies step into the 21-man squad, and if selected Davies would make his Super League and official Club debut for St.Helens.
