Saints reserved their worst performance of the season for the visit of the resurgent Vikings.

There was little to celebrate for the home side as the Vikings sped into a 10 point lead in as many minutes – and eventually won 34-16.

Matty Foster pulled back a try for the Saints but two more tires before the break gave the visitors a comfortable lead.

Jack Welsby gave the Saints some hope with the first try after the interval.

The sides then traded tries around the hour mark Kev Brown gave the Saints fans some hope as the side seemed to be finally finding its feet.

But the Vikings put the game to bed with their sixth try with ten minutes left.
