Seven Saints in England Academy

Gary Wheeler joins six other Saints' teammates in the Academy Tour to Oz.
Saints will be represented by a septet of Academy starlets when the England Academy Under 18s tour to Australia in July.
 
Matthew Ashurst, Phillip Baines, Andrew Dixon, Gareth Frodsham, Jonathan Lomax, Shaun Magennis and Gary Wheeler will be part of a 22-man squad that will play three matches Down Under.
 
These will include a warm-up fixture against a Brisbane Broncos Under 18s side and two ‘Tests’ against the Australian Schoolboys team.
 
England Academy will be coached by Basil Richards – who is currently Assistant Coach with the Bradford Bulls. The RFL’s Performance Youth Chris Chapman will be the team’s Assistant Coach.
