St Helens Rugby League Club have signed four young players as they continue to invest in the future.
Ben Karalius, Carl Forster, Scott Hale and Thomas Makinson will all join up with the Academy Squad next week after putting pen to paper.
Ben is a scrum-half who is a product of the West Bank Bears amateur club and grandson of ex-Saint and Hall of Fame member Tony. He is currently a member of the England Under 16’s squad.
Second rowers Carl and Scott have come in from Pilks Recs and Haydock Warriors respectively.
All three have progressed through the Club’s highly rated and accredited Scholarship Scheme and will follow in the path of Gareth Frodsham and Gary Wheeler who have just been promoted to the first team squad.
Thomas is a centre who has been identified and monitored over the last 12 months through the Club’s extensive talent identification program.
He is a product of Hindley and Wigan St Judes amateur clubs.
Neil Kilshaw, Saints Player Performance Manager, said: “At Saints we have a long record in investing in the future of the club.
“These players have been signed with this goal in mind and will now begin the process of being developed for a career in Rugby League and all four will join up with the academy squad next week.”
