JAMIE Foster says consistency is the key if Saints are to be involved in the big games at the end of the season.
The 20-year-old winger has been involved in the Club’s successful run of four games in a row but knows there is still more to do.
“The win at Leeds really kicked us on,” he said, “and we haven’t lost since. But we know that it’s consistency in these performances that make the difference.
“The teams that will be at the top are the ones who consistently perform week in week out. There’s no point beating the likes of Leeds if we come unstuck elsewhere.
“And we know there is a busy period coming up but we are just preparing for who we face that week.
“There are no easy games and the squad will be tested. But we know if we get injuries then we have young players who can come in and do a job. But we know we’ll all have to dig into the reserve tanks – but that’s next weekend.”
He continues: “Wakefield are a team that play for each other and I admire that.
“John Kear is a top coach and with everything that is going on over there, he has instilled a lot of confidence in them. They are hard to play against as they don’t know when they are beaten.
“It will also be good to come up against Chris Dean. He is a good mate of mine and it’s doing well over there. Whether it is me and Wheeler going up against him and Kevin Penny or someone else then they will have a tough ask.”
