Preview: Hull FC vs Saints

Saints face Hull FC at the KCOM Stadium on Friday in the final regular season Super League fixture with kick off at 7:45pm and we have all the pre-match and game day information you need.

The Stats:

Hull FC could still qualify for the Betfred Super League play-offs despite suffering three consecutive defeats. All eyes will be on Castleford Tigers’ clash with Wigan Warriors on Thursday evening, because if Daryl Powell’s side are beaten by the Warriors, Hull FC know a victory of their own against Saints on Friday will see them claim the final play-off place.

Saints have faced Hull FC twice so far this season, with the Saints winning both meetings. On Easter Monday we beat the black and whites 62-16 at the Totally Wicked Stadium, before winning 40-12 in East Yorkshire in the first week on July.

Saints have scored 18 tries in our two games against Hull FC so far this season with August’s Player of the Month, Kevin Naiqama scoring four of those on Easter Monday. Hull bound Adam Swift also adding a hat-trick that day. Lachlan Coote and Jonny Lomax have scored three tries a piece over the two games.

Team News and Match Preview:

Both sides’ have named their 19-man squad for the match as Justin Holbrook makes just one change.

Head Coach Holbrook feels the win over the Huddersfield Giants gave some of his key players some important match fitness ahead of the playoffs and is well aware of Hull’s dangers despite their poor run of form.

The Man in the middle:

The referee for our clash tonight is Liam Moore.
