Match Preview: Wigan vs Saints

Wigan Warriors meet arch rivals St Helens for the first time in 2020 on Tuesday night as the two clubs go head to head at Salford’s AJ Bell Stadium in Round 14 of the Betfred Super League (K.O. 7:45pm).

Saints head into the derby looking to bounce straight back following defeat in the Challenge Cup last week. Having said that Kristian Woolf’s men are unbeaten in the Betfred Super League since the restart and Saints fans will be hoping at full-time this evening that will still be the case.

Wigan arrive into this one in good form. They sit second in the table and have won their last three games.

Squad named for the Derby



Hear from Head Coach Kristian Woolf ahead of the match as he previews the derby clash and tells us who will start in the centre in place of the injured Mark Percival.

James Graham announced his International retirement yesterday, but he also previewed the big game tonight, admitting he is looking forward to playing his part in a Wigan-Saints clash for the first time since his return.


Saints are the ‘away’ team and will play in our Blue and White kit.


Following the news that the Government paused its plans to allow a limited number of fans back into sporting venues, the game will be conducted behind closed doors at the AJ Bell Stadium.
