Daryl said that the mood in the camp has been lifted this week after our win over the Dragons, but he also said that we need to back that up now, stating that it means nothing if we don’t get over the line tomorrow night.
He said that consistency is a word you hear a lot in rugby, and you won’t get anywhere being good for a week. We are looking for consistency and backing up last week’s win.

🔎 LET’S LOOK AT THE GIANTS
To say Luke Robinson’s Huddersfield side have been doing it tough could be an understatement.
A whole host of injuries has seen them struggle to get going in the 2025 season, however, with some key players returning and with a hunger to improve their position in the table, the Giants are a tough opposition to face at their house.

There was a lot of players exiting the club ahead of 2025, with; Innes Senior, Esan Marsters, Olly Russell, Chris Hill, Sebastine Ikahihifo, Kevin Naiqama, Adam Milner, Jake Connor and Andre Savelio departing.
The Giants recruited NRL talents Zac Woolford, Jacob Gagai, Taane Milne and brought back to the UK Tom Burgess. Coupled with Super League additions of Liam Sutcliffe and George King, it looks to be a promising squad that could improve on their ninth-placed finish last season. Mid-season, they have also added fullback Niall Evalds from Hull KR and prop Tristan Powell from Burleigh Bears.
To their record so far in their Super League season, the Giants have only won one match which came at Magic Weekend at the start of May against Hull FC. That win was a pressure reliever after getting some senior figures back in the side and gave them a small slice of revenge after losing by one-point to the Black & Whites back in February.

Last time out, the West Yorkshire side did very well to hold out the current table toppers Hull KR at their ground for around an hour, with the majority of the game it was just 4-0, until a last quarter blitz of points saw them lose out 34-0.
This week, the Giants will have their likely have their first choice half-back partnership together for the first time in 2025 with Tui Lolohea expected to return from injury to partner Adam Clune.
Three to watch
- George Flanagan – the young pivot has been a bright spark for the Giants in recent months, particularly in attack, and has committed to a new contract until 2027 too
- Adam Clune – the half-back has given Huddersfield some direction and command in their attacks, with his passing selection and kicking game improving them markedly
- Adam Swift – Saints supporters don’t need an introduction to this speedster on the wing, if given half a chance Adam will take it
📺 TUNE IN TO WATCH LIVE
