On Saturday evening, St.Helens' First Team will return to the BrewDog Stadium for league action against Wakefield Trinity, and our Women’s team will be competing in the Quarter-Finals of the Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup against Barrow Raiders Ladies!

👋 96′ TEAM REUNION

As we approach the 30th anniversary of the Challenge Cup win in 1996, Saints will welcome back members of the Double-winning team as they enjoy a team reunion three decades on from their memorable campaign.

📰 SQUAD NEWS

Paul Rowley makes two changes to the squad that beat Hull FC. Shane Wright returns after completing HIA protocols, while Nene Macdonald is back following knee surgery. Deon Cross drops out after failing a HIA, along with Cole Marsh.

Tom Humphreys keeps his place after debuting last week, and Billy Keeley could make his St.Helens and Super League debut if selected.

Women’s Squad news

St.Helens Women’s Head Coaches Derek Hardman and Craig Richards have named their 21-woman squad that will face Barrow Raiders Ladies at 2:30pm.

It is unchanged from the squad that put on a strong performance last Sunday afternoon against Catalans Dragons, winning 62-4.

Leah Burke and Dani McGifford were the stars last time out, both grabbing a hat-trick.

Match tickets and 2026 Saints Memberships will permit entry to watch both matches on Saturday. Tickets are not available for supporters to attend just the Women’s match only.

😇 HALO FANZONE

The HALO Fanzone will open once again, offering fans a vibrant mix of live music, food, and drink. It promises to be a lively pre-match destination for supporters of all ages!

MUSIC

The HALO stage will host live music opposite the Marching Inn Bar and Superstore. Kicking off the entertainment, DJ Earl Raff, will be bringing the tunes from 3:00pm.

FOOD & DRINK

Fans can enjoy a selection of outside food vendors, including a doughnuts, a gourmet burger outlet, and JJ’s Ices Ice cream van. There’s something to satisfy every taste!

MEET THE PLAYERS

Adding to the excitement, first-team players Mark Percival and Curtis Sironen will be on stage in the HALO ahead of kick-off at around 4:45pm

🍻 THE MARCHING INN

The newly renovated bar at the BrewDog Stadium will once again be open for our Saints faithful, and we hope you will call in to visit The Marching Inn.

We will open the bar from 1:30pm on game day for supporters to get down and soak up the atmosphere ahead of kickoff.

🗡️ DAGNALL DETERMINED TO DO WELL IN 2026

Outside back Owen Dagnall reflects on the start of the 2026 season and talks about his aims as we head past a third of the way through the campaign.

The young winger is expecting a tough test as Saints welcome Wakefield Trinity to the BrewDog Stadium on Saturday evening. Trinity come into the game in good form, and Dagnall knows they will offer a big challenge. After last year’s meetings all going in the Saints’ favour, he knows to expect a response.

📊 THE RECORD AGAINST WAKEFIELD

The Saints and Trinity have met 60 times in the Super League, and we have come out victorious 50 times. Wakefield have won 10 matches against the Red V, and there has yet to be a draw between the two sides in the competition.

Our biggest winning margin against Wakefield came at Knowsley Road in 2005, with the Saints winning 60-4.

💬 COACH PREVIEW

St.Helens Head Coach Paul Rowley spoke to the press to look ahead to Saturday night’s clash with Wakefield Trinity.

Rowley praised the squad’s togetherness and belief as key drivers behind Saints’ recent performances, while stressing the importance of maintaining full respect for a strong Wakefield side in their preparations.

🦺 SUPPORTER SAFETY

St.Helens R.F.C. want to ensure that everyone who comes to enjoy game days at the BrewDog Stadium can do so in a safe and friendly environment. The Club would like to reiterate to supporters that it operates a zero-tolerance approach to any anti-social behaviour.

Misbehaviours that will not be tolerated include, but are not limited to; physical or verbal abuse, violent conduct, missile throwing, excessive alcohol misuse, and any drug use.

Furthermore, the use of pyrotechnics is strictly prohibited under both rugby and football ground regulations. They can cause serious injuries to those who carry them as well as fellow spectators, as well as damage to surfaces such as the playing pitch which can cost clubs thousands of pounds.

St.Helens would also like to encourage parents/guardians of children coming to the ground to ensure they are always aware of what their child is doing and where in the stadium they are at all times.

🎒 BAG CHECK

Personal bags of A5 size or smaller only will be permitted in the BrewDog Stadium, and our stewarding staff will check your bags and conduct bag checks upon entry. We kindly ask supporters to please remain patient and be co-operative with our staff, and we thank you for your understanding.

Bags larger than A5 will only be permitted at the discretion of St.Helens R.F.C. staff if containing essentials for babies, or medical purposes and will be subject to being searched before entry. It is advised to provide Medical Exemption Certificates or proof of eligibility for a Medical Exemption Certificate.

O’Neills branded paper bags from the Saints Superstore will be permitted entry, however they too will be subject to bag checks from our stewarding staff.

Bag-Drop Facility

A Bag-Drop area will be set up at the BrewDog Stadium for any bags that would not be permitted entry. This will be located in the South East corner of the stadium and will be open from two hours before kick-off and will close one hour after full time.

Please note our Bag-Drop facility will cost £3 per bag, and as a cashless venue only debit or credit cards will be accepted. St.Helens R.F.C. accepts no responsibility for loss or damage of items which are left at the owners’ risk, with all bags subject to a search.

🗣️WHO WILL BE THE MATCH OFFICIALS?

Jack Smith will be the Referee for Saturday evening’s First Team game, and he will be assisted by Touch Judges Warren Turley and Marcus Griffiths, as well as Video Referee Liam Rush.

Adam Williams will be the Referee for the Women’s match, with Touch Judges Innes Arnold and Lucas Dabbs on the edges of the field. There will be no Video Referee for the Women’s fixture.
