Saints travelled to face Hull FC on Saturday with a very strong side, on paper at least, containing only one non-Saints player in Brad Clavering who strangely enough was playing against the side he grew up playing for.

However, the hosts dealt the Saints their first defeat of the season with a fast paced showing in scorching hot conditions.

Ricky Bailey grabbed a hat-trick in the clash whilst Calvin Wellington added a double.

Best for the Saints were Matty Lees, Bailey and Dom Peyroux who played the full 80 minutes.
