βΉ Defeat at Elland Road in The Derby.
Field breaks the line on the left, he gets cut down but Saints flagged for being offside.
Warriors push once more up field, a chip kick is taken by Saints to stop the threat this time.
Keighran adds the conversion.
Wigan put in a cross-field kick, Miski then kicks ahead and Walters chases and grounds the ball.
After a video ref check, it is given.
Robertson tries a kick but it comes off Keighran’s chest and then the Wigan man collects it after Harry can’t deal with the loose ball.
Saints are held by the 40m line, the ball goes loose back and Lees ends up kicking it to end the set.
Marshall can’t catch a high kick, referee calls it backwards.
Saints on the backfoot scramble well to stop him later in the set on the edge, and then Nsemba too who charged in.
Wigan on their left edge pass forward, Saints scrum.
Miski gets a half break on the wing, kicks ahead and Robertson and Vaughan both pat it out.
Makinson takes the drop out, which goes out on the full.
The story of our game, a good chance to attack but we come up with an error. A pass is short for Vaughan and he has to slide on the ground to catch it, knock on given.
Wigan don’t collect the drop out, it runs out by the half way line – Saints ball.
Robertson punts a Keighran short ball out for another GLDO.

Ritson clears a kick out for a GLDO.
Makinson goes all the way across the field and gets some space, he gives it to Vaughan but our youngster is stopped by Eckersley.
We then give Wigan goodball position with a forward pass.
Agony. Robertson breaks the Warriors line and he feeds a pass into Whitley who as he’s being tackled tried an offload but no good.
Vaughan now on the last gets the ball and kicks into the middle, Field takes it but Delaney makes the tackle.
Great kick return from Ritson after a punt downfield stopped inches off our try line.
Saints drive Warriors back to their own line, Vaughan with the last Saints carry tries to burrow and get over but they scramble.
Batchelor takes a shoulder to the head from Ellis and stay down, nothing initially given.
After consulting with the video ref, a yellow card is shown.
No try confirmed after the video ref check.
The Warriors following the knock on push forward, a kick goes high to the right corner which Ritson and Miski compete for.
The ball goes loose, Warriors claim a try after. Video ref called upon, sent up as no try.
Stephens with three Wigan men on him unfortunately knocks on.
Warriors on the left go for a push into the corner, Keighran’s kick goes into touch.

Robertson goes for a ball but gets taken in-goal, GLDO.
Mbye is now penalised for blocking an attempt to jump for a kicked ball, appeared harsh given he was monitoring the ball.
Saints on the left with Ritson create a half chance, the ball ricochets and Robertson chases, Farrimond looked to put it out but tap 20m given.
Leeming goes for a short grubber for Ellis, but the lose the ball with the try-line begging. Vaughan picks up and gets 20m.

Yet another one, strip of the ball is judged again.
Wigan into our half.
Good chase by Vaughan off high bomb, but Lees gets pinged for a high shot. Frustrating.
Saints move into the Wigan half off an offside, on the last after getting Warriors onto their own line Mbye attempts a short kick to the left corner but Farrimond catches.
Robertson deals with a high bomb well, Saints hold Warriors by their halfway line in the first defensive set.

Come On You Saints!
The Saints are trailing at the break at Magic WKND.
Wigan get a loose ball, a couple of tackles later we are once again penalised close to our own line.
Keighran kicks the penalty to close the half.
Warriors on the last knock-on trying to go to the short-side on the right.
Walmsley with a big carry up the middle, the referee gives a knock but the big man is adamant it was a strip – not given.
Wigan with some second phase play get the ball out to Marshall, then Ellis boots high and it’s a bit chaotic but Warriors knocked on.
Wigan drill the ball out and Saints have to go from deep again, good carry by Walmsley but he looks for an offload but no one is there.
Mbye kicks high and Field catches it, but again a penalty allows the Warriors out.
The Saints scramble in attack, Walmsley with a close drive to the line but short. Blake on the last gets it after some off-the-cuff play, powers off two Wigan men but is stopped evenutally.
Marshall now coming out of his own 20 knocks on, good D by St.Helens. Come on now, Saints.
Robertson again is inches off the line after a juking run, but we bomb a good chance with a knock on from a pass.
Saints get their first penalty of the game, Wigan offside by their own line. Good chance to push now for us.
π Walmsley on, Delaney off.
Thompson now like Whitley tries to play the ball but he knocks on. Saints in the Wigan 40.
Robertson goes oh so close after evading a number of Wigan men, but we lose the ball after Whitley tried to play it quickly but a Warriors player was in the way.

Davies floated a kick to the right wing, Marshall pats it out for a GLDO.

Saints stop Wigan strongly by the halfway line and get the ball – better.
Keighran adds the kick.
A penalty once again invites Wigan into our half, on the last Farrimond dribbles a small kick, collects it and scores.
Saints penalised again, a dangerous tackle with Batchelor as the third man.
Keighran adds the kick.
Wardle makes a break, but somehow Paasi makes an ankle tap on him to stop the first threat, however Wigan after going right pull left and Marshall has ample space for the opener.
Makinson deals with a kick but is held up and driven back by Warriors towards the try line.
Saints deep in their own half once more kick.
Mbye dabs a kick into the left corner, Field clears it for a GLDO but Saints are penalised for being offside.
So Vaughan is now at left centre, Batchelor at right second-row.
A forward pass pulls Wigan back though, we get a good chance to attack.

Our pressure is turned off after a high tackle is penalised 20m off Warriors’ line.
Good work from Wellens’ men, Keighran got stopped strongly by Sironen and he plays the ball incorrectly, kicking up a fuss with the referee about it too.
Pinned in their own half, Saints must kick from deep and again chase well.
Wigan with the first threat off a judged ball strip almost work it on their left edge but cough up the ball.
Sam Walters now starts for Wigan because Liam Farrell during the warm-up got injured, Patrick Mago is now on the bench.
Strong run-in by Makinson on the kick return, but Saints need to come out of their own half.
Calm sets from both teams at the start of this game, both defences keeping one another limited on metres.
Saints reply with a good defensive set of their own, Wigan kick just behind the halfway line.
Solid defence from the Warriors on the first hit-up sees Saints held by their own 40m line, but a good kick from Mbye is chased well.
