We knew it would be a physical battle and it’s now being pinned by both sides in the middle channel of the field. Saints again keep Catalans in their own 40m line.

Saints clearly miffed at that shot show plenty of aggression to hit the Catalans men and pin them in their own 40m. Solid defensive set gents!

Brilliant kick return from Makinson, he charged into Fages and sent him moving back. We then get an offside penalty which Mbye boots into the Dragons half.

Saints with their first real go in the opposition 20, we get a six-again but Sironen looks to offload and Catalans get it again.

All their territory finally pays, Abdull drills a grubber to the left corner and Tom Johnstone grounds it.

Saints go for an offload by the halfway line, but Catalans collect it. They then push on our right edge and Hurrell goes an intercept of his own but it’s knocked on.

Saints can’t get out of our own half, but again we stand firm in defence and force the visitors to kick out by the dead-ball line.

Saints keep the Dragons out after four back-to-back sets on our line, but we stand strong in defence.
