On Friday night, St.Helens will host our final home match of the 2025 Betfred Super League season, with the Play-Offs beginning next week. Castelford Tigers come to the Totally Wicked Stadium for an 8pm kick-off.
TRIBUTE GAME
This fixture is our annual Tribute Game, where we celebrate and honour the lives of Saints supporters, players and staff who have sadly passed away in the last 12 months.
Our Roll Of Honour for 2025 will be read out from 7:40pm, with our players shown on the big screen. We ask supporters to please take their place in the stadium bowl in advance and to be respectful as all the names are read.
Ahead of kick-off and following the teams’ entrances, there will be a minute’s applause.

You can secure a digital or ‘Print at Home’ ticket online, saving you time and need to visit the Ticket Office, however the Stadium Ticket Office will be open on game day to assist.

Paul Wellens makes seven changes to the squad he named for last week’s match against Leigh Leopards.
In: Morgan Knowles, Lewis Murphy, Noah Stephens, Will Roberts, Leon Cowen, Jake Davies, and Cole Marsh.

This match will be Castleford Director of Rugby Chris Chester’s final game directly in charge of the matchday squad, with new Head Coach Ryan Carr coming in from the 2026 season.
Chester names an unchanged squad from last week, despite a heavy away loss to Wigan Warriors. Outside backs Qareqare and Cini did not feature against Wigan, but could make their returns from injury on Friday night.

LIVERPOOL JOHN LENNON AIRPORT: CROSSBAR CHALLENGE
There is a twist to the Liverpool John Lennon Airport: Crossbar Challenge this week. The chosen participants will have ten shots at hitting the crossbar, with every attempt being for a £100 voucher to spend with Jet 2 Holidays.
With the eyes of all the Saints faithful in the West Stand watching, the competing Members will get ten attempts to hit the crossbar from the 20m line.

Super League summary
St.Helens and Castleford have faced each other 67 times in the Betfred Super League era. Saints have won 55 meetings, with the Tigers winning 11 and just the one draw between the teams.
Our biggest victory over the Tigers was a 4-72 victory in West Yorkshire back in 2006.
Saints have won eight of the last ten meetings against the Tigers, and will be looking to make three from three in 2025.

🔔 BELL READY FOR LAST SAINTS HOME GAME
Following the confirmation of his departure from the Club, the Round 27 clash against the Tigers will be Bell’s final home appearance at the Totally Wicked Stadium. Bell wants to show how appreciative he has been of the love our supporters have given him during his four years as a Saint.

WHO WILL BE THE MATCH OFFICIALS?
Liam Rush will referee Friday night’s match at the Totally Wicked Stadium, and he will be supported by Peter Brooke and Ellis McCarthy who are on Touch Judge duty, with James Vella as the Video Referee.
SUPPORTER SAFETY
St.Helens R.F.C. want to ensure that everyone who comes to enjoy game days at the Totally Wicked Stadium can do so in a safe and friendly environment! The Club would like to reiterate to supporters that it operates a zero-tolerance approach to any anti-social behaviour.
Misbehaviours that will not be tolerated include, but are not limited to; physical or verbal abuse, violent conduct, missile throwing, excessive alcohol misuse, and any drug use.
Furthermore, the use of pyrotechnics is strictly prohibited under both rugby and football ground regulations. They can cause serious injuries to those who carry them as well as fellow spectators, as well as damage to surfaces such as the playing pitch which can cost clubs thousands of pounds.
St.Helens would also like to encourage parents/guardians of children coming to the ground to ensure they are always aware of what their child is doing and where in the stadium they are at all times.
