The Wolves again camped in their own half, Walker tries a 40/20 again but Bennison for a second time picks it up.

Good hit ups from Saints, but Wolves hold us by halfway. Makinson chases a chip and Ashton threatens to break on the wing, but Mata’utia stops him!

Saints scramble defence was fantastic then, Dufty broke the line, Ashton around a number of his own men then fired it back and we kept them going back before forcing a poor Wolves kick.

Welsby leaps to claim a Drinkwater bomb.

Makinson and Mata’utia off the kick return cut down Ashton brilliantly.

Warrington get a late six-again in the tackle count and go close to the line, King on one side and Thewlis on the other are stopped by the Red V.

Saints blow a great chance to attack, from the scrum we go short side but Percival is dragged back, then Batchelor near the line obstructs the Wolves defenders so a penalty to the hosts.

Strong reply from the Wolves holding Saints by our own 40m but Thewlis off the kick knocks on!

It is followed by a brilliant defensive set, the Wolves held inside their own 30m and then give away an offside penalty.

Again much better from our men, the Wolves are back by their own line once more, Dodd’s chip is claimed well though by Dufty.

Danny Walker goes for a 40/20 but Bennison races back well to stop it going out.

Solid attacking set from the Red V, we roll Wolves back to their own 20m but on the last Welsby trying to create is stopped by Yates.

Warrington on the last try a kick and it looks threatening but Welsby smartly leaves it for a tap 20.

Saints get just beyond the 40m line in Wolves territory before hoisting the ball high, we defend well but give the hosts a hand with an offside.

Okay, much better from Saints who keep Warrington in their own 40 and Makinson deals with the kick fine this time.

Thewlis misses the kick attempt.
